Tola is an Associate Lawyer at Lara Law, supporting clients in civil, commercial, administrative, and family law matters. She brings a strong international background to her practice, having worked in Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and Canada before her call to the Manitoba Bar.

Tola’s work focuses on legal research, drafting, negotiation support, and guiding clients through complex legal processes with clarity and care.
She is known for her practical problemsolving approach, meticulous file management, and ability to translate technical legal issues into clear, actionable advice.
Tola is committed to continuous professional development and to delivering thoughtful, clientcentred service within Manitoba’s legal landscape.

ADESUWA IRIS OJIDOH
Articling Student At Law
Adesuwa joins the firm as an articling student. She is an internationally trained lawyer with experience in financial services, corporate governance, and compliance. She has worked in the banking and financial services sector where she helped develop policies, supported regulatory reviews, and advised on practices that promote transparency and accountability.
She holds a Master of International Business Law from the United Kingdom and has also worked in the federal public service in Canada. Her work has focused on strengthening compliance programs and helping organizations and individuals understand their legal responsibilities.
Her international background gives her a wide perspective on how legal systems support human rights and social justice. She brings a practical and detail-oriented approach to her work and values professionalism and integrity.

Legal Assistant
Jemima is a Legal Assistant with experience supporting legal matters across family law, real estate, immigration, corporate services, and wills and estates. She plays an important role in ensuring files are managed efficiently and clients receive professional and timely support throughout the legal process.
In her current role, Jemima primarily assists with real estate transactions, including the preparation and drafting of legal documents, correspondence, and administrative coordination. She is detail-oriented and committed to maintaining accuracy, organization, and confidentiality in all aspects of her work.
Jemima is also completing an Honours degree in Sociology and is working toward her long-term goal of entering the legal profession. Her academic background supports her interest in law, advocacy, and the ways legal systems impact individuals and communities.

Theodora Okerri
Paralegal and Volunteer
Theodora Okerri is a Part-Time Paralegal and Volunteer Support Worker at Lara Law. She is currently pursuing a degree in Social Work at the University of Manitoba, where she is developing a strong foundation in human behaviour, family dynamics, and community wellbeing.
She has a particular interest in family law and approaches her work through both a legal and social work lens, allowing her to better understand client needs and provide thoughtful, well-rounded support. She is especially familiar with working alongside individuals and families navigating complex dynamics and legal challenges.

Through her academic training and hands-on experience, Theodora has developed skills in client support, communication, critical thinking, and empathetic engagement. She is committed to supporting clients through sensitive legal matters with professionalism and care.

She aspires to build a career that connects legal advocacy and social work, where she can make a lasting impact in supporting individuals and strengthening family systems.
